Fiscal Sponsorships

NCPA Foundation provides fiscal sponsorship to organizations with a charitable purpose that do not have 501(c)3 status. As a fiscal sponsor, NCPA Foundation provides administrative services, oversight, financial responsibility for the activities of an organization engaged in charitable work. As a fiscal sponsor, NCPA Foundation provides financial, donor, project, and grant management services, and technical assistance. Examples of these services includes but is not limited to:

  • Securing online donations and processing for each project.

  • Acknowledgement to donor of tax-deductible donations totaling $250 and above.

  • Ability to receive donations of appreciated stock and gifts from donor advised funds and cryptocurrency.

  • Monthly reporting.

  • Strategic grantmaking.

The foundation’s standard fee for these services is 15% of incoming donations.

The NCPA Foundation does require the entity that is being sponsored to be a separate legal entity, have their own FEIN, and have general liability insurance. The process of applying for a fiscal sponsorship begins by submitting a letter of inquiry.

Please take the time to ensure that your project has a charitable purpose that aligns with our foundation’s mission and vision. If NCPA Foundation staff determine that your project is a fit with our mission, you will be sent an application. All final approval for fiscal sponsorship are determined by the NCPA Foundation Board of Trustees which meets monthly.
